Mr Zank, throught his long residence in this community, was known to many people, and enjoyed the respect of hte community. Prior to coming to Solon he lived for 14 years in Grand Rapids. The body was brought to the home of his son, Henry, in Cedar Springs Monday, and the funeral services were held from that home Tuesday morning at 10:30 and at the Solon church at 11 o'clock. Interment was in the Solon cemetery. Surviving in addition to the two sons named is a third son, Charles of Sand Lake; two daughters, Mrs. Martha Goodell and Mrs. Frank (Augusta) Holiday of Solon: four-teen grandchildern and four great grandchildern. DEAD August Zank, Sr., age 82, of Solon township, died Sunday at the home of his son, August, Jr., in Rockford. Mr. Zank lived in Grand Rapids for 14 years. For the past 43 years he had resided on the same farm in Solon township. Surviving are three sons, August of Rockford, Henry of Cedar Springs and Charles of Sand Lake; two daughters, Mrs. Martha Goodell and Mrs. Frant Holliday of Solon; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The body will be taken to the son's home in Cedar Springs Monday, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 and at 11 a. m. at Solon church. Interment in Solon cemetery.
