History: Masonic origins has been suggested

Grattan Township takes pride in their past and cemeteries many of the old 
stones have been replaced with a type of concrete as well as all the fence 
posts and old gate, they even fly the American flag. This cemetery is out in 
the country landscape on a gravel road not seen by many yet the day we were 
there the flag was flying at half mast in honor of the death of Former 
President Gerald Ford.

Several early settlers of Grattan buried here, notice Mr. Weeks monument with 
story.
