Walch Family Stone

Fairplains Cemetery 
Sparta, Kent County, Mi



Additional Comments:
All I know of the Walch family is that they are related to the Hicks family 
through marriage.  Matilda Walch was the youngest daughter of John and Matilda 
Hard, Their eldest daughter was Betsey Ann Hard, who later married Thomas 
Brooks.  They had a daughter, Clemma Brooks, who married Francis Eugene 
Hicks.  Franic Hicks and Chester Walch owned a butcher shop in Sparta, Mi, 
around 1890-1900.
