Civil War Veteran; Enlisted in Grand Haven, MI, 23 Oct 1863, age 34, Vo "B", 
1st SS Regiment, Michigan.  Transferred to Co "H", 12th US Veteran Reserve 
Corps. on 01 Jan 1865.  Discharged @ Washington, DC, 31 July, 1865.  Lived in 
Spring Lake, MI.
