Civil War Veteran:  Served in Co I, 12th Michigan Infantry, Private.  
Enlisted, 14 December, 1861, in Berrien, Michigan, and Mustered in, 19 
December, 1861.  Mustered out, 8 August, 1862, in Detroit, Michigan.  Andrew 
applied for an Invalid Pension, 1 December, 1862, and his widow, Helen N., 
applied for pension, 20 October, 1913.
