This marker was placed in 1903 following the Death of Farquhar McKercher.  He 
was born in Glen Lyon in Perthshire, Scotland in 1844.  He emigrated from 
Liverpool, England for New York City.  He married Ermina Brooks in 1878 who 
bore him Maude Maria, Pearl, Frederick and Donald Farquhar MacKercher.  
Farquhar died in 1903.  His wife Ermina is also buried in the same plot area.
