Sarah Kernen
AHMEEK — Sarah Kernen, 83, a resident of Ahmeek, passed away Tuesday morning, 
July 6, 2004, at Keweenaw Memorial Medical Center in Laurium.
She was born on September 7, 1920 in Saginaw.
She lived most of her life in Lower Michigan until she her her husband retired 
and moved to the Copper Country in 2000.
Sarah was employed at various places in Lower Michigan in maintenance and 
janitorial work.
In June of 1963, she was married to Carl Kernen in Manistique. 
She is survived by her husband, Carl; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and 
friends.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 9, 2004, at 2 p.m. in the 
Erickson Crowley Funeral Home in Calumet with Rev. Ken Toth to officiate.
