McClellan, 72, of Baldwin, died July 6 at Memorial Medical Center in Ludington following a long illness. Olga Trucks was born on April 12, 1917 in Baldwin. She married Jack McClellan on Feb. 17, 1952, in Baldwin and he survives. She was a lifelong Baldwin resident. Mrs. McClellan was a member of Baldwin Congregational Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Baldwin Women's Club. In addition, she was the first president of the Commerce Club, forerunner of the Baldwin Chamber of Commerce. She was a 1935 graduate of Baldwin High School, and received her B.A. degree and teaching certificate from Albion College in 1939. She taught school in Custer, Bitely and Baldwin for many years. later, she worked at her family's Lake County Abstract Office for many years until her recent retirement. Mrs. McClellan was also a veteran of World War II, serving in the Women's Army Corps in the Pentagon. In addition to her husband Jack, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Mac and Lynn McClellan of Baldwin and Mark and Sherry McClellan of Harrison; seven grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Norma Russell of Baldwin; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Lerene (McLeod) Trucks; one sister, Beth Tripp; and one brother, Ford Trucks. Services for Mrs. McClellan were held July 10 at Baldwin Congregational Church with the Rev. Bernard Fetty officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Plains Township Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions in her name to the Baldwin Congregational Church.
