He, along with his wife, was owner and operator of the Lake County Abstract Company. From 1955 until 1972 Mr. Russell operated the Osceola County Abstract Company in Reed City. In 1972 that office was consolidated with the Baldwin office. Surviving are his wife, Norma; four sons, Greg, of Vicksburg; Gary, with the U.S. Navy in Jacksonville, Florida; and Scott and Jac both of Baldwin; a daughter Lee Ann, of Rt. 1 Baldwin; his mother, Mrs. Pauline Russell, of Alma; a sister Mrs. Anton (Patricia) Anderson, of Melrose, Pennsylvania; and four grandchildren. Mr. Russell was a past master of the Lodge of the Lakes No. 545 F and A.M. He had served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 4 at 1 p.m. from the Guy R. Hunt Funeral Home, Baldwin. Burial followed in Pleasant Plains Cemetery, Rev. Floyd Soper officiating.
