Declaration of Intention: " State of Michigan,} Book II The Circuit Court 
for County of Lapeer  }  ss said County 
I Daniel Cornell Solemnly swear that it is bona fide 
my intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATE, and to Renounce 
forever all Allegiance and Fidelity to each and every Foreign Prince, 
Potentate, State or Soverignty whatsoever, and particularly the Queen of 
Great Britain of whom I have been a subject.
