Glover Agnes Reid was born in Marhouse Simlugton Parish, Scotland, Dec., 14, 1845. Came to America with her parents at the age of nine years, on arrival in the U. S. came at once to Almont. When still a little girl she went to live with her Uncle John Reid on the place now occupied by James Rattray, where she resided until her marriage to Wm. Glover Nov. 2nd 1868. To this union was born two sons, Wm. C. Glover and Robert I. Glover both of Almont, and four daughters Mary Reid Glover, now Mrs. John Christie, of Sterling, Christena E. Van Duser of Lewistown, Montana, Agnes A. Glover now Mrs. M J. Baldwin of Onondaga, Mich. Isabella Mae Glover, Mrs. Wm. Piles of Flint now deceased. The deceased was a woman of sterling Christian character always thinking of others unmindful of self. A loving mother and devoted wife, kind neighbor always lending a helping hand in time of need.
