Wilcox Was born in Chester, N.Y., June 24, 1824. He was the son of Alfred Stuart Wilcox. He married Mary Lucy Sutherland, of Thorneville, in 1850 bringing her to Almont where they lived until 1895 when they went to Portland, Oregon, to spend their remaining days in a milder climate. Mr. Wilcox has enjoyed perfect health, spending much time out of doors in all seasons, but when his failing sight prevented his accustomed exercise he gradually slipped away, May 9, 1919. He leaves a widow, Mary Lucy W., two daughters, Delia M. Smith, Mrs. Arthur C. Emmons, and three sons, Alfred S., Frank C., and George E.
