Springett, Sr. died at her home in this village on Thursday, March 26, 1914 at 4:30p.m. Sarah Ann Morgan was born in London, England, Aug. 1st. 1843. At the age of 20 she was united in marriage to Albert E. Springett, Sr. at St. Paul’s Church Bermondsey, and on May 26th, 1866 they sailed for America, coming to Almont where they have always made their home. Four children were born to them, two of which died in infancy, and Edgar T. who passed away Sept. 29th 1910, leaving but one daughter, Mrs. E. Clothier and an aged husband to mourn her loss. For a great many years Mrs. Springett has been a great sufferer, afflicted as she was with rheumatism, which made her almost helpless, not having been able to walk for over 35 years. Her bright, cheerful disposition and her sunny smile made for her a host of friends for she was loved by all who knew her. The end was peaceful as her life had been being always ready to submit to whatever she was called upon to endure. The funeral was held from the home Sunday afternoon, Rev. Endy officiating, and her remains were laid to rest in the Almont Cemetery.
