Bodoh, 65, of Empire, died Monday, June 16, 2003, at Grayling Nursing Center. Jerry was born Feb. 19, 1938, in Clintonville, Wis., the son of Charles and Evelyn (Fuerst) Bodoh. On July 14, 1957, he married the former Marcella Dieck. Sgt. Bodoh retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1972, having served in Vietnam. Jerry was a member of Empire United Methodist Church, a life member of Disabled American Veterans, and an avid fisherman and hunter. Jerry is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marcella Bodoh of Empire; a son, James Bodoh, also of Empire; three grandsons, Phillip, Ryan and Paul Blough, all of Benzie; and his mother, Evelyn Bodoh of Waupaca, Wis. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Charles Bodoh; a son, Mark Bodoh; and a daughter, Ann Marie Blough. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, June 20, at Empire United Methodist Church, with full military honors under the auspices of VFW Cherryland Post #2780. The Rev. William Dye will officiate. The family will receive friends from noon until time of services. Memorials may be given in Jerry's name to Empire United Methodist Church, or to Empire Fire and Rescue.
