'Ben' Goldwin Died July 7, 1999 HONOR - Bernard J. "Ben" Goldwin, 79, of Honor, died Wednesday, July 7, at his home. Ben was born June 1, 1920, in Gary, Ind. He was the owner of Benzie Electric Company. He is survived by his wife, Betty; daughter, Sheila Sohl of Crownpoint, Ind.; son, Charles Viegland of Crownpoint, Ind.; grandsons, Ron Hamilton, Rob Viegland and David Koepke; granddaughter, Tiffeny Mack; sister, Alvina Maleck of Hammond, Ind.; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edna, in 1987. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday by the Masonic Lodge No. 444 of Honor at Maple Grove Cemetery (on M- 109 just off M-22 in Empire Township). A celebration of life will follow at 7888 Deadstream Road in Honor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice in Ben's name. Arrangements were handled by Bennett-Barz Funeral Home in Beulah. ---------------------------------- TRAVERSE CITY RECORD EAGLE BERNARD GOLDWIN, 79, of Honor, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999, at his home.
