Kramps, 60, of Glen Arbor, died Wednesday at Munson Medical Center. He was born April 27, 1941, in Chicago, the son of Herbert W. and Marie (Pahls) Kramps Sr. Herb married Joan Hauter on Oct. 7, 1972, in Evanston, Ill. A retired biology teacher from the Chicago Public School System, he and his wife moved to Glen Arbor in 1996. He was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, and was past president of the Glen Lake Association. Survivors include his wife, Joan; his daughters, Katherine Kramps and her fiancé, Matthew Pelham of Seattle and Elizabeth Kramps of Providence, R.I. Also surviving are his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rhonda and Scott Hauter of Gig Harbor, Wash. He was preceded in death by his parents. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Empire, with the Rev. Father Chad Zielinski serving as celebrant. Visitation will be today at the church from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Glen Lake Association Preservation Fund, P.O.
