TRAVERSE CITY - Erika Hope Meyer, infant daughter of Robert Alexander and Dr. 
Karen Lynn (Hirsch) Meyer, died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, at University of 
Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor.
      Erika was born July 24, 2003, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Ind.
      Along with her parents, survivors include her maternal grandparents, Carl 
and Marilyn Hirsch of Lakewood, Wis.; paternal grandparents, Ken and Barbara 
Meyer of Birmingham, Ala.; paternal great-grandfather, Robert Newman Jr. of 
Birmingham, Ala.; paternal great-grandmother, Elizabeth "Betty" Meyer of 
Matteson, Ill.; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
      Services will be held at the Meyer family home, 10255 N. Deerpath, 
Traverse City, on Saturday, Aug. 23, at 1 p.m. Allen Boyer will be officiating.
      Burial will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery, Empire.
      Memorials may be directed to either the Holden Gift Fund, in care of 
Janet Allen at the Holden Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, University of Michigan, 
1500 E. Medical Center Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48109; or, to St. Jude Children's 
Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
      Arrangements are being handled by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in 
Traverse City
