Bertha M. Werbinski
      Died July 7, 2000
      TRAVERSE CITY - Bertha M. Werbinski, 81, died Friday.
      Born March 5, 1919, in Glen Arbor, she was the daughter of Charles and 
Violet (Meredith) Sheridan. She married Bernard "Ben" Werbinski in 1952 in 
Traverse City. Bertha was a resident of Traverse City for most of her adult 
life.
      Survivors include three daughters, Patricia (Randy) Clouse of Traverse 
City, Norma (David) Bilderback of Cambria, Ill., and Arlene Lister of 
Knoxville, Tenn.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
      Bertha was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, in 1977; a son, 
Roger Werbinski, in 1968; a sister, Ruth Killingbeck; a brother, Lyle "Happy" 
Sheridan; and a half brother, Arnold "On" Hanson.
      Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Riverview Terrace 
Apartments, 150 Pine St., Traverse City, in the community room; the Rev. Larry 
Ross will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Empire.
      Arrangements have been entrusted to the Traverse City Chapel of Covell 
Funeral Homes.
