Arrangements are pending with the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City. -------------------------------------- TRAVERSE CITY RECORD EAGLE - 30 June 2004 GREEN BAY, WIS. - Jack Dennis, 68, of Pulaski, died Sunday morning, June 27, 2004, at a Green Bay nursing home, following a brave battle with cancer. Born July 23, 1935, in Flint, he was the son of the late Clair and Mona E. (Proper) Dennis. On Sept. 10, 1977, in Maple City, he married the former Thelma (Smith) Burfield. Jack was a graduate of Empire High School. After their marriage, the couple moved to Green Bay, Wis. Jack was employed as a construction worker and enjoyed working in his shop. He was a member of Carpenter's Local #1146 in Green Bay, and the Angelica United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Thelma; three children, Keith (Liz) Dennis of Iceland, Wis., Jackie (Bob) Engel of Muskegon, Val Eimers and special friend, Jack of Maple City; three stepchildren, Howard (Pam) Burfiend of Pulaski, Wis., Ruth Corby and special friend T. J. of Antigo, Wis., Marcia (Mark) Williams of Manistique; four grandsons; 10 stepgrandchildren; 8 stepgreat-grandchildren; one sister, Joyce (Jesse) Childers of West Branch; and a brother, Jerry (Eva) Dennis of Traverse City. Friends may call at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City on Friday, July 2, 2004, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, July 3, 2004, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Maple City.
