      Vera F. Brunson
      Died September 10, 2000
      TRAVERSE CITY - Vera F. Brunson, 94, went to be with her Lord on Sunday.
      Born March 13, 1906, in Benzie County, she was the daughter of John and 
Theresa (Kraouse) Ames.
      A resident of Traverse City, she had previously lived in Empire. Vera was 
first married to Harry A. Fritz and later married Joseph "Joe" Brunson. She was 
a member of Kasson Center Gange and the Empire Senior Center. Vera enjoyed 
baking, cooking and being a grandmother.
      Survivors include her children, Nora Lee Fay of Honor, and Jean L. 
Erickson, Donald (Sue) Fritz, and Myke (Maxine) Miller - all of Traverse City; 
a brother, Orrin Ames of Montague; nine grandchildren; nine great-
grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
      Vera was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Harry Fritz in 1962 
and Joseph Brunson in 1974; a sister; two brothers; and a grandson, Harold I. 
Erickson.
      Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rose Hill 
Cemetery; the Rev. Marvin Rosa will officiate.
      Memorials may be directed to the Father Fred Foundation or the Humane 
Society.
      Arrangements have been entrusted to the Traverse City Chapel of Covell 
Funeral Homes.
