"Jim" Harrington Died May 19, 2001 WESTLAND - Ronald J. "Jim" Harrington, 25, of Westland, formerly of Maple City, died Saturday at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. Born Aug. 18, 1975 in Traverse City, he was the son of Thomas L. and Ronda J. (Hulbert) Harrington. Jim attended Glen Lake High School. A talented artist, he enjoyed drawing, doodling, leather working, skiing and bowling. Survivors include his mother, Ronda J. Wing of Southfield; father, Thomas L. (Paula) Harrington of Traverse City; stepdaughter, Christina; three sisters; four brothers; maternal grandmother; paternal grandparents; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Jim was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather; step-grandfather; and three uncles. Services will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City, where friends may call from noon until the time of the service. Pastor Paul Pletcher will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Kidney Foundation or The American Heart Association.
