Zeigler - Died August 7, 1999 EMPIRE - Marian H. Zeigler, 73, of Empire, died Saturday at Maple Valley Nursing Home. Born Jan. 11, 1926, in Empire, she was the daughter of George and Lottie (Payne) Zeigler. A lifelong resident of Empire, Marian had been a sales clerk at Bolton's Department Store in Empire and had also worked at Dunn's Resort in Glen Lake prior to her retirement. She was also a member of the Platte Grange Ladies Aid. She is survived by a sister, Ellen Bronson of Empire; brother, William (Jean) Zeigler of Empire; nephews, Percy (Nevada) Bronson of Camden, S.C., Ernest (Barb) Zeigler of Maple City and David (Jean) Zeigler of Empire; niece, Susan Zeigler of Empire; and several great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Percy Bronson; and nephews, George Bronson and Bill and Cyril Zeigler. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
