Boisineau, born Sept. 25, 1924, died at Munson Medical Center at the age of 79. Mr. Boisineau served his country honorably with the U.S. 8th Army Air Force and was a member of the 351st bomb group. He successfully completed 26 missions as tech sergeant and radio operator on a B-17. Mr. Boisineau retired in 1988 after 32 years at the Detroit News in management and also performed as copy writer. He was responsible for the International Freedom Festival special section. He was closely affiliated with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and the Detroit Institute of Arts. He was a graduate of American Television Institute of Technology. After retirement, Mr. Boisineau moved to Empire and was president of the Empire Area Heritage Museum and was on Empire's Council and Zoning Board of Appeals. Along with his wife, Virginia, Mr. Boisineau is also survived by his children, Jeffrey A. Boisineau of Dallas, Jane N. Sieloff of Manhattan, Kan.; brothers, John V. Boisineau of Lacosta, Calif., and William T. Boisineau of Dearborn; and one grandchild, Elizabeth Katherine Sieloff. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Empire at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 3, with the Rev. Fr. William Lipscomb serving as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Philip Neri Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Philip Neri Catholic Church or the Empire Area Heritage Museum.
