"Pat" Picard Died October 1, 2001 GLEN LAKE - Kathryn P. Picard, 74, of Glen Lake and Saginaw, passed away on Monday, Oct. 1, 2001, at her home on Glen Lake, following a brief illness. Patricia (McGurrin) was born on Jan. 20, 1927, in Grand Rapids. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, the League of Catholic Women, Junior League, The American Needlework Guild, Lawyers Wives of Michigan and St. Mary's Auxiliary. Patricia was also active in the Dunes Ladies Golf League, volunteered at the Empire Museum and was an active member of the Glen Arbor Chamber of Commerce. She also taught school in the Saginaw public schools. Patricia is survived by her five children, Peter J. Picard of Glen Lake, Chris and Patty Picard of Saginaw, Michelle and William Richter of Saginaw, Jeffrey A. Picard of New York City, Guy F. and Kelly Picard of Granger, Ind.; nine grandchildren, Katie, Kelly, John J. Picard, Emily, Chris and Isabelle Hiltz, Taylor, Paige and Peyton M. Picard; and one brother, Thomas McGurrin of Lansing. Pat was preceded in death by a brother, William McGurrin, and a sister, Betty Russell. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Saginaw, with the Rev. John Mancini officiating. Private interment will take place at St. Phillip's Neri Cemetery in Empire. Friends may call at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State), Saginaw, (989) 799-1151, on Thursday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. There will be a prayer service at the funeral home at 7 p.m. A viewing will take place at the church from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral mass on Friday.
