Michael showed his strength and courage as he battled cancer for the past three years. He was born in Lexington, Ky., the son of David Frank and Jean Ellen (Savage) Drzewiecki Sr. of Horse Shoe. Michael spent the early part of his life in Michigan and Ohio, and moved to North Carolina 10 years ago. He was a 1997 graduate of West Henderson High School and was employed by Volvo Construction Equipment Co. of Skyland, N.C., as a materials coordinator. Michael was blessed with a daughter in 1998, Renee Michaela Drzewiecki of Horse Shoe. Michael touched so many lives in so many different ways. He loved to praise God with his church and church cell group. He enjoyed woodworking, tropical fish and playing with his daughter, Renee. His family was a very important part of his life. Michael's big heart and smile always lit up the room. Michael grew up with an older brother, David Frank (Paula) Drzewiecki Jr. of Cleveland; an older sister, Lisa Marie (Aaron) Cloyd of Vancouver, Wash.; and a younger sister, Jackie Nicole Drzewiecki, attending college at UNC in Charlotte, N.C. Michael will be deeply missed by his large circle of family and friends, which includes his paternal grandparents, Mildred Drzewiecki and the late Frank Drzewiecki of Maple City; maternal grandparents, Irene Savage and the late Willard Savage of Ft. Myers, Fla.; and more than 100 aunts, uncles and cousins. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3 p.m., today, June 10, in the Kirby Memorial Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home in Hendersonville, N.C., where the family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time. The Rev. Rob Cuevas and the Rev. Steve Scroggs will officiate. Burial will follow in Shepherd Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to the Renee Drzewiecki Education Fund, Wachovia Bank, P.O.
