Adrian Daily Telegram, Thurs., December 29, 1903 December 29, 1903
This morning Dr. Wyman, of Detroit, assisted by Drs. Stephenson, Seager and 
Marshall, amputated the right leg of Robert Savage, of Treat road, about five 
inches above the knee.  Mr. Savage was injured several years ago and 
tuberculosis of the knee joint resulted, necessitating the operation.
