NEWS AND NOTES
-- At the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orlando Westgate, of 
Raisin Center, Wednesday evening at 7:30, will occur the marriage of their 
daughter, Mabel, to Will Kennedy, residing near Holloway.  A number of Adrian 
people will attend.

-- The funeral of Norma Berine, the four months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 
S.S. Withington, was conducted this afternoon from the family home, No. 74 
South Main street.  Rev. E.M. McMilhn, of the Presbyterian church, had charge 
of the services.

-- Mrs. Charles Curtis died at her home in Toledo, Friday last, aged 40, from 
typhoid malaria.  her father and mother are Mr. and Mrs. Caleb Reeves, of 
Madison township, this county, and one brother, Carleton Reeves, lives in 
Adrian.  her mother was with her when she died, and the father, brother and 
his family went to Toledo Monday to attend the funeral, which occurred at 2 
o'clock p.m. that day.
