Welcome Aldrich Died
1883
ALDRICH --- Died in the township of Rome, September 13th Welcome Aldrich, 
Sr. aged 87 years.
The deceased was born in New Hampshire in 1796.  Emigrated to Michigan in
1835, settling in the town of Rome, where he lived until his death.  Mr.
Aldrich was married early in life his wife dying in 1876; they having 
lived together over 60 years, and raising a family of three daughters and 
three sons, Welcome Aldrich, Jr. of this village, being one.  Mr. Aldrich 
died as he had lived, a christian.  He was amember of the Rome Babtist 
Church.
NOTE: Mr. Aldrich had a son named Phillip
