Adrian Times March 13, 1912 
Mrs. Angeline Stitt 
Mrs. Angeline Stitt died Sunday evening at 9 o'clock at the home of her son, Frederick, 
one and one-half miles southwest of town. (Tecumseh). On November 7th she suffered a 
stroke of paralysis and has ever since been in a serious condition. Her maiden name was 
Osborn (Osburn). She was born in 1834, marrying Andrew Stitt in 1858. They began 
their life together on the farm on which she died. Her husband died in 1872. She leaves 
three sons, Frederick of Tecumseh, Byron and Edward of Hitchcock, South Dakota, all of 
whom were with her when she passed away. The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 pm 
from the home. Rev. Blanch Young of Holly, formerly of the Universalist Church here, 
officiating. 
Submitters Note: Angeline Osburn was the daughter of James Osburn and Abigail Crane 
Osburn. She was born 11 December 1834 in Adrian Township, Lenawee Co, Michigan.
