Clark in the Quaker disTrict, Palmyra Township, for Sgt. William Butler of Company E, 3rd U.S. Infantry. He had been stationed at Fort Snelling in Minnesota. It was the funeral of a brave man, a hero who gave his life for his country. He was killed during the recent uprising by Chippewa Indians at Bear Lake, Minn. Six U.S. soldiers were killed and 11 wounded during the attack on Oct. 5. dz
