Colgan: >From Daily Telegram, Monday Jan. 15, 1990 Sister Colgan Adrian - - Sister Mary Rosalia Colgan, O.P., the former Rosalia Eugenia Colgan, died Friday, Jan. 12, 1990, at Bixby Medical Center, Adrian. She was 88 years of age and in the 59th year of religious profession in the Adrian Dominican Congregation. Sister Rosalia was born in Atchison, Kan. To John and Johanna (Curtain) Colgan. She attended Atchinson Business College and received a Bachelor of Philosophy degree from Siena Heights College in Adrian. Sister Rosalia spent 43 years ministering in elementary and secondary education including many years at St. Kilian in Chicago. Ill. and St. James in Maywood, Ill. She was principal of St. Ann School in Tucumcari, N.M., and later taught high school at Holy Cross in Santa Cruz, Calif., St. Theresa in Detroit, and Rosary in Detroit. In 1982, she etired to Maria Health Care Center in Adrian. Sister Colgan is survived by several grandnieces in Atchison. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at 10:30 a.m. today in Maria Chapel. Burial was in the Congregation Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were handled by Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian.
