CLETYS C. MURPHY

Adrian-Cletys C. MURPHY, 86, of E. Maumee St., Adrian, died Nov. 28, 1994, at 
his home.

He was born on Feb. 20, 1908, in Van Wert, Ohio, the son of Walter G. and 
Rosella M. (FRIEND) MURPHY. He married Thelma FISHER on May 29, 1956, 
in Blissfield. Cletys retired in 1958 from Hurd Lock Manufacturing after 30 years 
of service.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma; two sons, Duane MURPHY of Hudson and 
Marvin MURPHY of Jackson; two daughters, Evelyn JENKINS of Williamston 
and Barbara MARSH of Pinckney; one stepson, Larry FISHER of Brooklyn; one 
brother, Donald MURPHY of Apple Valley, Calif;; 24 grandchildren, 30 great-
grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by four 
sisters, Wilma JUSTICE, Ruby ELSTON, Letha LEVITZS, and Effie WILLIAMS, 
and two brothers, Lloyd MURPHY and Dorral MURPHY.

At Mr. MURPHY'S request cremation has taken place and there will be no 
services. Interment of cremains will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Arrangements are 
under the direction of Anderson Funeral Home.
