SUBMITTER: Patricia Butler EMAIL: butler4@frontiernet.net DATE: Sep 10, 1999 PASSWORD> SURNAMES: DOVE, NOTTINGHAM, DERBY William Laverne Dove 72 years old, died after a short illness Sunday morning at 10:30 o'clock in his home at 410 North Locust Street. He had been at his usual employment for the city water board Saturday and had planned to go fishing yesterday when strickin in the morning. Mr. Dove was born March 25, 1869, at Newburg, Mich., the son of the late William and Elizabeth Scott Dove. He was married March 25, 1890 to Miss Jessie Lenore Nottingham of Raisin Valley, who survives with two sons Bart A. and Seaton Dove of Adrian. He was preceded in death by his daughter mable who died in 1911. Four grandchildren, one daughter Mrs. William Derby of Tecumseh and one brother Arthur Dove of Tipton and several nieces and nephews also survive. Earlier in life Mr. Dove was a farmer but for the last several years he has been employed by the Adrian Water Board. The body will be at the family at 410 North Locust Street where friends may call untill 10a.m. Tuesday morning. The funeral services will be held at the Belding Funeral Home in Tecumseh Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The Rev. J. W. Greenwood will officiate and the burial will be in Brookside cemetery.
