Britton- A. Seaton Dove, 85, of Billmyer Hwy. died Thursday, Sept. 15,
1988, at Herrick Memorial Health Care Center.
He was born Aug. 6, 1903, in Lenawee County to William and Jessie (Nottingham)
Dove.
He married Margery Arena Force on Aug. 28, 1920 in Adrian.
Mr. Dove attended Browns Business School and College in Adrian, and he
and his brother Bart Dove owned and operated Dove Brothers Roofing Company
in Adrian. He was later employed with the Adrian Sewer Disposal Service
for 15 years before retiring in 1968.
He was a member of the Lenawee Loafers Camping Group, was an avid sports
enthusiast and spent the winters in Zephyr Hills, Fla., with his wife.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Seaton Dove Jr. a daughter
Mrs. Paul (Doris) Snyder; a brother, Bart A; and a sister Mabel Dove.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Dolores Jane)
Dusseau of Manitou Beach and Mrs. Elwyn (Mabel) Lewis of Adrian; 20 grandchildren;
43 great-grandchildren and three great-greatgrandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9p.m. and Saturday until
2p.m. at Everiss-Wagley Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 2p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Ronald Tipton officiating.
Burial will be in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park in Adrian.
