EHLINGER MORENCI -- Joseph A. EHLINGER, 82, of 118 W. Main St., Morenci, died Tuesday at Bixby Hospital in Adrian after an extended illness. He was born Sept. 19,1898 in Rome Township, to Nicholas and Ella (GALLANT) EHLINGER. In June of 1921 he married Beatrice SONNANSTINE. ; She died in February of 1968. He later married Delora PAINE in September of 1973. She survives. Mr. EHLINGER was a master mechanic and worked for several years as a plant maintenance supervisor for Page dairy in Morenci and Butler, Ind. He operated a machine shop untio 1950 when he was named Morenci city superintendent a post he held until he retired in 1966. Mr. EHLINGER was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, the Morenci Lodge No. 95 F AM and the Excelsior Chapter of the O.E.S., No. 68. Surviving besides his widow are one son, Jack EHLINGER of Port Huron; one stepdaughter Mrs. H. W. (Beatrice) ECKMAN of West Unity, Ohio four step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother John EHLINGER of Hudson; and two sisters Mrs. Grace ; ---- (Article ends here)
