Forsthoefel Age 72, of Tecumseh, died November 23, 2004. He was born March 13, 1932 in Springfield, MA, the son of Gregory F. and Ursula (Desch) Forsthoefel. On June6, 1958 he married Margie R. Rayburn at St. Mary Catholic Church, Adrian. She survives. Upon graduation from St. Mary High School, Adrian, he served in the U.S. Army as a Sargeant in the Korean War from 1952-1954. He was a graduate of both The University of Toledo & The University of Toledo College of Law. He was the Tecumseh City Attorney for 30 years, retiring in 1999. He was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. In addition to his wife Margie, he is survived by three daughters, Ann Forsthoefel and her husband Terence Friedman of Raleigh, NC, Juliana (Dave) Jones of Camden, MI, and Vanessa (Doug) Pettit of Lake Mary, FL; two sons, Gregory J. Forsthoefel, Jr. of Southfield, and Anthony (Andrea) Forsthoefel of Lansing; two grandchildren, Brianna and Alyssa; twosisters, Rita (Bill) McLaughlin of Jackson, and Claire Amsler of Naples, FL; and four brothers, Mark (Joan) Forsthoefel of Plymouth, Paul (Margaret) Forsthoefel of Carmel, IN, Frank (Tina) Forsthoefel of Columbia, SC, and Raymond (Christine) Forsthoefel of Allentown, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 27, 2004 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Tecumseh, with the Rev. Fr. Daniel Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery with military honors and flag presentation conducted by Chaplain Mel Wegner and the Tecumseh American Legion Post #34 and Tecumseh VFW Post #4187. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 p.m. in the Purse Funeral Home. Tecumseh. An additional visitation will be held at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Tecumseh on Friday from 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. Friends may also call one hour prior to the Funeral Mass Saturday at the church.
