He was born in Germany and came to this vicinity when he was seven years old. He operated a farm until 1917 and for 22 years was employed by the New York Central Railroad. He is survived by the widow Mrs. Mary FICK, five sons Ernest, Wilbert, Amiel, Alfred and Carl all of Blissfield, four daughters Mrs. George McCARTY and Mrs. Elmer YOUNG of Blissfield, Mrs. Frank MAY of Deerfield and Mrs. Leslie LIPS of Britton, three brothers Otto of Midland, John of West Branch and Fred of Ypsilanti, one sister Mrs. William SEEBURGER of Riga and 18 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the home at 217 Gasner Street and at 2:30 p.m., in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. A. J. Lucht officiating.
