Obituary -
Tecumseh - John R. Graham, age 80, of Tecumseh, a part of Tecumseh's Downtown
history, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at his home.
He was born on June 24, 1925, in Adrian Mich, the son of John and Lucille
(Reynolds) Graham. On July 22, 1950, he married Patricia Wisney, and she
preceded him in death on Nov. 28, 2003.
John was part of the downtown Tecumseh community for many years. He was a
lifetime member of the Tecumseh Club and worked at Greens' Men's Wear for more
than 42 years. He and his wife, Pat, summered in Clear Lake, Ind., for many
years and both enjoyed the water very much. He was a loving father, grandfather
and friend and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
John is survived by his two daughters, Cindy (Ron) Pare of Bedford, Va.: and
Jody (Sherman) Howard of Tecumseh; one sister Patricia Beatty of Tampa, Fla;
four grandchildren, Matt Murphy, Missy Morgan, Trisha and Brandon Howard; and
three great-grandchildren, Ryan and Andrew Morgan and Alexander Murphy. In
addition to his parents and wife, Pat, he was preceded in death by one sister.
At John's request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life and
informal gathering will be held on Saturday, Feb. 4 from 2-5 P.M. at the
Tecumseh Chapel of Couture-Handler Funeral Homes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial continuations in Johns' memory may be made to the
HOPE Community Center, 431 Baker St., Adrian, Michigan
