ADRIAN; Mary Disbrow (Hoffman) 52, of Adrian died today, Dec. 16, 1985 at St. 
Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, after a five-year battle with cancer.   
She was born Nov. 24, 1923 in Adrian to William F. and Mary D. (Hegy) 
Schadewald.  She graduated from Deerfield High School in 1951 and was the 
valedictorian of her class.  She was the head bookkeeper at the TLC Community 
Credit Union in Tecumseh.  Mrs. Disbrow is survived by a son, Robert D. 
Hoffman and two daughters, Cathy Jackson of Adrian and Sharon Hoffman of 
Manitou Beach; eight grandchildren; and five brothers William F. Schadewald of 
Florida, Norman of Riga, Mi, Don and Charles of Adrian, and Stanley of 
Tecumseh; four sisters Mrs. (Darwin) Glenda Shirley, Mrs. (Ernest) Carol Lash 
of Manitou Beach, Mrs. (Gaylin) Maybelle Berry of Blissfield and Mrs. (Ray) 
Donna Case of Adrian.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, 
Hazel Seegert and son-in-law Douglas Jackson Jr.  She was a member of the St 
John's Lutheran Church in Adrian.  Friends may call after 7 p.m. Tuesday 
night.  Services will be Thursday at 1;30 at the Braun Brothers Funeral Home 
in Adrian.  Burial will be at St John Lutheran Cemetery.
