"Bob" Hoffman, age 74 of Adrian formerly of Deerfield, died Thur. Nov. 09, 2000 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor. He was born March 2, 1926 in Deerfield to Darcy and Mildred (Janson) Hoffman. Bob served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church , the Deerfield Grange, the Deerfield American Legion, Deerfield Volunteer Fire Department and the Michigan Retired School Personnel. He was also a member of the Bachelor and Bachelorette Square Dancing Club. Bob was a farmer in Deerfield all his life until moving to Adrian five years ago. He retired as maintenance supervisor at Madison Schools. He was an avid sportsman and hunter. Bob is survived by his children, Cathy Jackson (Tom Minnick) of Clayton and Sharon (Carlos) Santiago of Manitou Beach, Roger (Tammy) Hoffman of Clinton; two sisters, Donna (Walter) Sieler and Ruth Hoffman, both of Deerfield; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister and on son-in- law. Funeral Services for Bob will be held on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2000 at 3P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Herter officiating. Burial will be in Deerfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 6-8p.m. and on Sat. form 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home.
