DAVID N. HOUSEMAN
David Nicholas HOUSEMAN, oldest son of John W. and Sarah HOUSEMAN, was 
born December 26th, 1882 and died August 26th 1941, aged 58 years and 8 
months. He was born near Britton and lived his entire life within a few 
miles of his birthplace.
On December 17th, 1918 he was married to Miss Lydia PRICE and to this 
union was born a son, John Price and a daughter Mary Esther, both now 
living at home. He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Mary I. ANDERSON 
of Tecumseh, and four nieces, Mrs. Glenn L. VAN VLEET and Miss Lois 
ANDERSON of Tecumseh, Mrs. Charles BENEDICT of Britton and Miss Helen 
ANDERSON of Detroit. He was preceded in death by a brother Grover C. 
HOUSEMAN.
His entire life was spent on the farm and he was a true lover of the 
soil, taking great pride in the cultivation of his land and in caring 
for his home and family in which his every interest centered.
David was a respected citizen, a loyal friend and a willing helper ever 
ready to lend a hand to those in need. He will be greatly missed in the 
community as well as in the home.
Funeral services were held Friday at 2:30 P. M. in the Niblack Funeral 
Home at Britton with Rev. DE REMER, officiating. Bearers were Grover 
WILLIS, Don WILLIS, Schuyler EASTLICK, Alois WEISBECKER, Carl HENNING 
and Cyrus SMITH. Burial was made in Ridgeway cemetery. Friends were 
present from Detroit, Ann Arbor, Ypailanti, Adrian, Dundee, Deerfield, 
Ridgeway and Tecumseh.
