He was born July 12, 1916 in Blissfield to Ed and Anna Young Jacob. He lived most of his live in Blissfield and Adrian, and moved to Manitou Beach in 1966. He was a graduate of Blissfield High School. Mr. Jacob was a self-employed carpenter and plasterer, and also worked as janitor for Addison Community Schools for eight years, retiring in 1978. He was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Congregation of Adrian. He married Agnes M. Harvey on Jan. 14, 1955 in South Bend, Indiana. Surviving are his wife, Agnes; three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Katherine) Pfeiffle of Florida, Mrs. Joyce Henley of Pennsylvania and Mrs. Shirley Fuller of Detroit; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Clark (Betty) Powers of Seneca, Mrs. Herbert (Patricia) Robinson of Adrian and Mrs. Gary (Norma) Sears of Britton; two stepsons, Jack Foster of Adrian and Thomas Foster of Manitou Beach; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Tripp of Adrian; nine grandchildren and 12 step-grandchildren. The funeral will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. in Brown-VanHemert Funeral Home of Addison. Danny Darling will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Addison. There will be no public visitation.
