John Leroy Kelley 


Age 63, of Adrian, Michigan, passed away at the University of Michigan Medical 
Center, Ann Arbor, on August 18, 2004. He was born in Hastings, Michigan, on 
April 13, 1941 to Merle Claude Kelley and Marian Louise McMillen (Hewitt). On 
July 21, 1962, he married Virginia Sue Martin, she survives.

John is also survived by their two children, Randal (Rita) Kelley of Adrian, 
and Tammi (Samuel) McCarley of Greendale, Wisconsin.

In addition, he is survived by three brothers, Roger (Gloria) Kelley, David 
Kelley, and Michael Kelley; two sisters, Patricia Kelley, and Kathy (David) 
Piel; one step-sister, Pamela Real; a step-father, Rex McMillen; and numerous 
nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents, and his 
stepmother, B. Corinne Kelley.

In 2000, John retired as Manager of the Speedway Convenience Store in 
Tecumseh, Michigan, after many years of faithful service.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 2004 in the 
Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh, with the Reverend David McKinstry officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the
