MRS. ROLAND CURTIS April 4, 1939
Mrs. Junette Kinzel Curtis, aged 47 years, the wife of Roland Curtis and
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Kinzel of 704 East Beecher Street, died
yesterday afternoon, April 04, 1939, at 4:30 o’clock in the University hospital
in Ann Arbor. She had been seriously ill since November 10, 1938, when she
entered the Emma L. Bixby hospital. She was later taken to the University
hospital where she remained until March 13 when her condition improved and she
returned to the home of her parents. Tuesday her condition made necessary her
return to Ann Arbor and she died there.
Mrs. Curtis was born in Adrian and attended St. Joseph’s school and was a
faithful communicant of St. Joseph’s Catholic church. She was employed for many
years at the American Chain & Cable Co. plant.
She married Mr. Curtis October 27, 1937. Surviving her are her husband, her
parents, two sisters Mrs. Reinhold Plotter and Mrs. D. Arden Pletcher and three
brothers Frank and Harold Kinzel of Toledo and LeRoy Kinzel Who is in the U. S.
Navy and now stationed in Cuba. A twin brother died when one year old.
She was a member of the Ladies’ Catholic Benevolent Association and members of
the association will say the Rosary at the home, ‘704 East Beecher Street,
Friday evening at 8 o’clock.
The funeral services will be in St. Joseph’s church at 9 oclock Saturday morning
and the burial will be in St. Joseph’s cemetery, Adrian, Michigan
