FENWICK, Mich. -- Marie Lemira Komm, age 93, of Fenwick, formerly of Lenawee 
county, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2008, at The Laurels of Kent in Lowell.
  Marie was born on Sept. 20, 1914, in Adrian, the daughter of Vernon C. and 
Beulah (Phillips) Hess. She graduated high school in South Dakota. Marie 
married Arthur Komm on Nov. 4, 1932 in Thayer, Mo. He preceded her in death on 
March 5, 1980.
  Marie is survived by two daughters, Lila M. Teeter of Ionia, Mich., and 
Irene Y. Smith of Oceanside, Calif.; nine grandchildren, 15 great-
grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy L. 
Watson and Alice Ehnis, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in 
death by her husband, daughter, Vicki L. Glidden; brother, Robert Hess; and 
sister, Joyce I. Darling.
  Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held March 29 at 3 
p.m. at the Ionia Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 143 E. David Highway, 
Ionia. Arrangements have been entrusted to Dunn Chapel, Brown-VanHemert 
Funeral Home in Onsted.
