The Adrian (MI) Daily Telegram, Monday, 1 June 1942, p 6, col 5
Elmer E. LANE, 67 years old, of 524 James Street died this morning about 2:30 
o'clock in Bixby hospital after a three day illness. A former engineer on the 
New York Central railroad, Mr. LANE had been retired for ten years and has 
been active in the pensioners organization of the N.Y.C. He was born in 
Reading and had lived here since is retirement.

He is survived by a brother George F. LANE of Adrian and a niece, Mrs.
Dorothy ESTERLINE of Bryan.

The funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the Braun 
Funeral Home with the Rev. John W. GREENWOOD officiating.
