Theatis "Teddy" Aileen Leismer, 


of Tecumseh, went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 28, 2004, surrounded by her 
family at Herrick Memorial Hospital. 

She was born September 17, 1919, the daughter of Earl and May (Perry) Theil. 
On May 10, 1948, she married Marvin R. Leismer in Petoskey. He preceded her in 
death on August 18, 1989. 

Teddy was a member of the Tecumseh Assembly of God Church. She worked many 
years as Nurses Aid and later retired from DST Industries, Clinton. 

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Knight of Tecumseh and Rhonda (Pat) 
Smith of Clinton; one son, Ralph Leismer of Tecumseh; six grandchildren, 
Derrick (Lisa) Knight of Tecumseh, Denise Knight of Whitmore Lake, Deven 
(Jennifer) Knight of Tecumseh, Derron Knight of Merritt Island, FL, Kristine 
(Mitch) Gooding of Hudson, and Toby (Tomoko) Smith of Tecumseh; and four great 
grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Marvin, she was preceded in death by her parents, a 
brother, two sisters, Gladys Temple and Inez Martin. 

Private family funeral services were held Thursday, December 30, 2004 in the 
Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh Mark Bush presided over the funeral ceremony. 
Interment followed in Brookside Cemetery.
