Hudson Post - Sept. 13, 1901
Montgomery MACKEY, 76, died Aug 31, 1901, in his home in South Pittsford.  
Born May 27, 1826 in Roxbury, Delaware co, NY.  In 1849 he moved to Otsego 
county, NY, and from there, with his young wife, whose maiden name was Miss 
Jane MORENUS, to whom he was married Jan 1, 1850, removed to Michigan – Hudson 
twp.  He was one of a family of 18 children and they are all dead except the 
youngest sister, Mrs. Sarah LAWSON, of Lenawee Junction.  They had no children 
bur reared five, “who mourn as for the loss of a father.”
