MEYERS, 84, of 231 Clinton St., died Thursday evening at 7:05 in Bixby Hospital, where he had been a patient since last Tuesday. Mr. MEYERS had been in failing health for the last three years. He was born May 25, 1888, in Toledo. In his early years he managed a grocery business at the corner of South Main and Beecher Streets. Later, he was for many years employed as a butcher at the former Bancroft meat market. Mr. MEYERS was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by three wives: Mrs. Mary NOVESKY MEYERS who died in 1930; Minnie ASH MEYERS who died in 1962, and Vera GERMOND MEYERS who died in 1970. Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Virginia POWELKE of Adrian; three grandsons; five great grandchildren; three stepsons, James HICKOK of Tecumseh, Richard and Jack GERMOND of Adrian; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Leo (Mardel) DRAKE of Adrian; 22 step grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Portia KIMBALL of Adrian and Mrs. Robert MITCHELL of Holloway and two brothers, Howard and Fred MEYERS of Adrian. A brother, Alfred, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Braun Funeral Home, where friends may call after 7 o'clock this evening.
