Sara Louise Patrick 


Age 84, of Alpena, formerly of Tecumseh, died November 9, 2004, at Tendercare
Greenview Nursing Home, Alpena. She was born May 16, 1920 in Floyd County, 
Kentucky, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Sparks) McKenzie. 

She lived in the Tecumseh area since 1935 and retired from Annapolis Hospital 
in Wayne.

Sarah is survived by one son George Ernest (Matie) Ostrum of Ossineke, 
Michigan; sister in law NIcki Ostrum of Texas, eight grandchildren; and 17 
great grandchildren; two friends Leora Bull and Rita Varney, two sister in 
laws Gladys Shelhart and Dorothy Creiger
along with many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son Melvin H. Ostrum, Jr. in 
December 1995; three grandchildren; husbands, Melvin Ostrum and William 
Patrick, seven brothers, Thomas, Elmer, Roman, Tucker, Eugene, William and a 
brother in infancy, three sisters, Louise, Virgie.and Helen.

Funeral services will be1:00 p.m. Friday, November 12, 2004 in the Purse 
Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Rev. Tom March officiating. Interment will follow 
in Brookside Cemetery, Tecumseh. 

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the 
Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
